With the help of professional soccer players and soccer lovers, Read to Lead Afghanistan formed two after-school soccer teams. Our players learn the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, respect and tolerance. Our teams consist of 45-50 children under the mentorship of R2L volunteers and staff.  The children are supported with uniforms, school supplies,weekly visits by a child psychologist and annual physical exams. All costs are covered by Read to Lead Afghanistan.

 

In order to enroll children, our staff personally meets with the families of the children to better understand their situations to best meet their needs.
